LEGALISED DOCUMENTATION
Legalisation is the process whereby a notarial certificate (or other public document) is authenticated at the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office and/or the Consulate of a particular country. If in doubt about the ideal translation level for your document, please consult our representative.
CERTIFIED TRANSLATION
Certifying a translation implies a certificate being issued by the translation company, accompanying the translated document, rubber stamped and duly signed by an authority of the translation company on its letterhead paper, confirming that the translation is bona fide and true to the source document.
NOTARISED TRANSLATION
Notarisation is the certification of a document by a UK notary. Many checks and procedures are carried out in order to issue the appropriate notarial certification. Notarisation is an alternative to sworn and is a form acceptable to courts throughout the UK and British Commonwealth jurisdictions.
SWORN TRANSLATION
Though not commonly used in the UK in this form, “sworn translations” are de rigueur in many overseas jurisdictions. Sworn translations are signed and sealed by overseas court-authorised sworn translators only. Sworn translations are legal and valid as official for use before all or most authorities in the jurisdiction where the sworn translator is registered.
If required, your translation will be assigned to a sworn translator, registered with the appropriate court or authority, accompanied with an affidavit to state that the target document is a wholly accurate translation of the source language.
We understand that discretion is paramount. Together with our team of highly skilled and specialised translators, we ensure that all projects are treated with the utmost confidentiality, and that your message remains crystal clear in the target language.
